Akiko Narumi is the head of the Narumi Detective Agency after inheriting it from her deceased father, Sokichi Narumi. In Fuuto Tantei, she is known as Akiko Terui after her marriage to Ryuu Terui and listed as such in official family registry, but chooses to use her maiden name when working at the agency to uphold the legacy and reputation of her father.
