Alan is the 1st lieutenant of the Imperial Galactic Army until his ship crash lands on a nearby planet and he is promoted to captain when the rest of the crew is killed. Alan is kind and resourceful and he has to figure out what he wants to do with technology that is far advanced compared to the medieval setting he now finds himself in.
