Alternate is the son of Gordy (Gody), a member of the Syndicate. Alternate is a supposed mastermind who met Mingchao while posing as a train conductor, planning to steal the Eto Gun while they rode the train.

After the death of his father, Blush convinces him that Mingchao killed him, and Alternate decides to try and join the Syndicate to get back at her. However, when he discovers that it was actually Blush who killed his father, he plans to get revenge against Blush, and therefore the Syndicate. He tentatively joins Mingchao’s group and eventually becomes a close ally.
