He is one of the strongest in Kingou island and with his spirit beast Kokukirin and super paopei Kinkuben he is a formidable enemy. Although he never uses his sennin powers in human conflicts.

In the manga and 2018 anime, the death of his close friend Kou Hiko and getting defeated by Taikoubou rendered his obsession to protect Yin meaningless and subsequently he chose to end his own life.
