Flan is a very skilled witch who tends to keep to herself but agrees to take on Elaina as an apprentice. She is cheerful but can be mischievous occasionally as well. Her clothes have a starry underside, and she loves butterflies.

Flan was the apprentice of Elaina's mother, who bestowed upon her the title of "Stardust Witch". Her reason for becoming a witch was to always be able to support herself, as there were no witches in her home country.
