Juuzen is a young man who runs "Akane Shinchi", a brothel disguised as a flower shop — a business spanning generations of his family. He often ponders existence, and feels as if he is caught in a place between life and death. Outside of Akane Shinchi, he attends high school and is a member of the kendo club, with Fukazawa and Haniya.
