It's explained by Ataru in Chapter 139 that, after playing the several dead game, Koyori's personality started to go berserk in a similar way to Yuuma's later in the story. She becomes a cold-hearted person who kills anybody that stands in her way. Later, Koyori is killed by Ataru in order to stop her madness. He vows to kill everybody who has turned berserk, as she did.
