Makoto is a 24 year old, up-and-coming furniture designer. He has a lot of fans thanks to his sweet looks and immense talent. He is called the "Refreshing Prince" by the ladies in Hotaru's office.

Even though he is young and pretty shy due to attending an all boys' high school, he is still on the fast track. Also, despite being a natural genius, there's a side of him that misunderstands what Hotaru says and does.
