Mito is a girl from a family of farmers. Despite being fairly popular at school and wanting a boyfriend, she rejects every boy that confesses to her. When Mito laments not finding "a man as sturdy and strong as [her] beautiful land" and vows to never get married, she is overheard by Spica, the goddess of harvest, who sends her at three moments into the past (2.5 million years BCE, 800.000 BCE, and late Jomo era) to be with her most compatible person, as a reward for taking such great care of the fields.

Toyomitsu and Mito eventually get married and have a daughter, whom they name Minori.
