Nono has been a talented ski jumper from a young age. In fact, she mostly won first place in her elementary school competitions.

Her father, Yura Yuusuke, was a ski jumping Olympic representative. With that in mind, she always sought her father's approval with ski jumping, but never received it. She only found out the reason later: It was because women can't compete in the Olympics. Not only that, but her brother, Nonomiya Yuuta, who was supposed to inherit their father's talent, had no talent at all.

Because of that, she was looked down upon by both her father and her brother with eyes of disdain and jealousy, respectively. Her father would get angry and unleashes his rage by beating her brother, causing him to hate her even more.
Nono entered ski jumping tournaments as her twin brother brother, Nonomiya Yuuta, while still struggling to keep her identity secret.
