Aoyama Sousuke, a college student who suffers painfully from his parent's Traffic accident. He took an interest in Sumi-e paintings upon meeting Shinoda Kozan, a well known Sumi-e painter, at an exhibition, and got taken in as his disciple upon seeing the talent in him.
