Takeshi sets out into the forest with the goal of committing suicide, but is interrupted by the sudden arrival of the strange Mia, a young girl with cat ears and a tail. Although she doesn't seem to have a vast vocabulary and doesn't even understand what "suicide" means, Takeshi slowly grows to like her.

He later appears with Mia in another chapter, where Mia has to hunt for food for the both of them because Takeshi is too sick and weak.
